Carolyn Marie Roy Lusk
Mrs. Carolyn Marie Roy Lusk went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 11, 2025, surrounded by loving family.
Carolyn was a native of Chattanooga, born on January 30, 1939. She graduated from Central High School in 1957. Carolyn was a member of Mountain Creek Church of Christ. She retired from Cutter laboratories in 1981 and from Walmart in 2016.
Carolyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. The love that she portrayed was second to none. No matter what challenges she faced, she never let it break her spirit.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Leland Lusk Sr. as well as her parents, Doyle Baxter Roy Sr. and Hazel Marie Britton Roy and siblings, Betty Ruth Elkins, Billy Forrest Roy, and Doyle Baxter Roy Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Tim (Cherie) Gooden, Mike (Pam) Gooden, and Leland (Shea) Lusk; grandchildren, Jason (Tabitha) Lusk, Jeremy (Maegan) Gooden, Justin (Lindsey) Gooden, Tike (Leslie) Gooden, Megan (Wes) McCorkle, Craig (Brandi) Lusk, Jedidiah Lusk; 13 great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 12, from 2-5 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel in Hixson. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel at 5 p.m. Saturday with Ken Chambers Sr. and Gary Massey officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery.
