Police Respond To Assault At Stadium - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

25-007557 –Stadium Way – Assault
Police responded to an assault that had occurred at the stadium. The coach of the visiting team stated his son, and another party, were assaulted by two male suspects. Multiple witnesses did confirm that one juvenile was grabbed by the jersey along with being pushed, leaving marks, and the other juvenile was stepped on, causing an ankle injury. Police were able to review camera
footage after the assault occurred and could see one of the suspects gloating on the sidelines, causing a large disorder to ensue between fans and teams. One suspect was later identified but the other is still pending identification. Warrants for Assault and Disorderly Conduct have been issued. Warrants will be issued for the other suspect once fully identified.

 

Day Shift July 16: A Squad

25-007537 – 1800 BLK Prigmore Road - Shots Fired
Dispatch informed police of possible shots that sounded like they had come from the area of Springvale Park. Police swept through the area of Springvale and found no evidence of shots being fired in the area.

25-007535 – 5300 BLK Dupont Street - Missing Endangered
Police were informed that a juvenile had left her residence and could not be found by her guardians. Multiple officers began a search of the area and were informed that the parents had found her and transported her back to their residence.

25-007530 – 100 BLK Kingwood Drive - Well Being Check
Police were called to the residence to check on a party who was recently released from the hospital. She advised she was perfectly fine and had a doctor's appointment later in the day. No signs of abuse or neglect observed.

25-007532 – 1500 BLK John Ross Road - Back EMS
Police responded to an unconscious subject at this residence. Upon arrival the patient was observed to be breathing but appeared to be having a diabetic emergency. ERPD assisted ERFD while EMS was in route. EMS transported
the party for treatment.

25-007536 – 3400 BLK Myra Avenue – Theft
Police responded to the residence after an unknown individual removed all the pears from two of their trees. The residents stated the trees contained approximately fifty pounds of fruit.

25-007540 – 3400 BLK Bennett Road - Improperly Parked Lumber
The codes department was notified that a stack of lumber was drop-shipped to a new build site in the curve partially blocking the outside lane. The shipper was notified and returned to move the lumber out of the path of traffic.

25-007531-6700 BLK Ringgold Rd.-Disorder
Police were dispatched on reports of a female acting erratic and yelling at the manager. Officers spoke with the manager who advised a female began throwing items out of her car. The manager confronted the female who began screaming expletives at her. Police located the female at a business across the state line. The woman advised she had a panic attack, having recently became
homeless and losing custody of her child. The female was trespassed from the restaurant per the manager’s request.

25-007534-6500 BLK Ringgold Rd.- Well Being Check
Police responded to the motel to check the well-being of a juvenile. A maintenance worker advised he went into the room and found the child amongst a plethora of trash. Officers spoke with the occupants of the room who advised they were in between residences and had their previous home’s
items inside the room. Police checked the room and observed an abundance of trash strewn about
the interior. Among trash bags and loose garbage, police observed a multitude of cigarette butts and a strong odor of cigarette smoke in the room. The child was observed to be clean and without marks that would indicate abuse. However, given the unsanitary conditions and cigarettes being
smoked in an enclosed environment with the child present, a DCS referral was made. DCS# 1517121295

Night Shift July 16: C Squad

25-007549 - 3400 Gail Drive– Burglary
Police spoke with the resident who advised she was last at her apartment on July 7th and a Samsung washer and dryer were in the apartment. When she arrived at the apartment today the washer and dryer were not there. She stated nothing else was missing from the apartment. The reporting officer did not observe any signs of forced entry to the apartment and the victim stated
all the doors were locked on her arrival back home. There is no suspect information.

25-007556 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd – Intoxicated Person
Police responded to this location following a report of a disorder between an intoxicated person and a tenant. Officers determined the altercation to be verbal between three people regarding their definitions of “a good time” and “trying to stay away from drugs”. During a search of all three parties, narcotics paraphernalia in each of their possessions. The parties went their separate ways, and the paraphernalia was seized for destruction.
