Peggy Delores Green Bentley
Peggy Delores Green Bentley, 89, of Ringgold, Georgia, went home to be with her precious Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 17, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Chattanooga, Tennesee, on Oct. 5, 1935, to the late Wallace and Irene Green, and was a graduate of Ringgold High School in 1953. Peggy loved the Lord and was an active member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was in the Pioneer Sunday School class and a member for many years in the adult choir. Earlier church membership was with Graysville UMC and Newnan Springs UMC.

She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Cynthia Bentley; and brother, Lamar Green.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Greg (Andrea) Bentley; Lisa Bird, and Miki (Tracy) Arp; her grandchildren; Haley (Burgess) Robinson, Hilary (Matt) Purucker, Macy Bird, Geordy Bird, Shelby (Logan) Potter and Caroline Bentley; her great-grandchildren, Arlo Purucker, Margot Robinson, and Millie Potter; her sister, Barbara Morrison; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 21, at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South in Rossville.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, and one hour prior to the service on Monday, July 21.
