The City of Cleveland, Tennessee is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Human Resources Director. The position is responsible for assisting the Human Resource Director in the management of the Human Resources functions which includes: developing personnel policies and procedures; recruiting, testing, on-boarding and orientation of new employees; monitoring disciplinary action process and recommending action in consultation with City Manager; administering all benefit programs; managing the employee classification/compensation plan and supervising the payroll function to ensure proper grade/step placement; payroll processing and compliance with all payroll regulations; ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws, regulations and ordinances; overseeing safety and risk management; other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business management, public administration or other related field is preferred, with a minimum of two years related experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training or experience that provides the requisite knowledge and abilities for the job. PHR certification or the ability to acquire certification. Must possess and maintain a valid TN driver’s license. Full background check including drug screen will be conducted. Salary will depend on qualifications.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED PERMITTING ACTIONS

Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Board will receive public comments upon the application for the operation or installation of the following air pollutant sources in Hamilton County, TN.

Columbus McKinnon Corporation 3510 North Orchard Knob Avenue, Chattanooga, TN, has proposed to install a burn-off oven. Potential air pollutant emissions resulting from the operation of this burn-off oven are estimated to be no more than 0.03 pound/hour and 0.13 ton/year of total particulate matter; 0.10 pound/hour and 0.29 ton/year of carbon monoxide; and 0.07 pound/hour and 0.31 ton/year of nitrogen oxides.

Ergon Terminaling, Inc. 617 Terminal Road, Chattanooga, TN, has proposed to add a second styrene storage tank to an existing styrene storage tank with loading rack. Potential air pollutant emissions resulting from the operation of the two tanks and loading rack are estimated to be no more than 6.67 tons/year of styrene.
