Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Board will receive public comments upon the application for the installation of the following air pollutant sources in Hamilton County, TN.

Gestamp Chattanooga, LLC, has proposed to install a natural-gas fueled hot stamping furnace at 3063 Hickory Valley Rd., Chattanooga, TN. Potential air pollutant emissions resulting from the operation of this furnace are estimated to be 0.77 pound/hour and 3.38 tons/year of nitrogen oxides, 0.62 pound/hour and 2.73 tons/year of carbon monoxide, 0.056 pound/hour and 0.25 ton/year of particulate matter, 0.041 pound/hour and 0.18 ton/year of volatile organic compounds, and 0.0042 pound/hour and 0.019 ton/year of sulfur oxides. Woodbridge Chattanooga Formed Plastics LP has proposed to install a batch polystyrene foam expander at 51 Lost Mound Dr., Chattanooga, TN. Potential air pollutant emissions of pentane (a volatile organic compound) resulting from the operation of this expander are estimated to be 103.0 pound/hour and 7.41 tons/year. STERIS Instrument Management Services, Inc., has proposed to install an emergency generator diesel engine at 3010 Williams St., Chattanooga, TN. Potential air pollutant emissions resulting from the operation of this engine are estimated to be 15.13 pounds/hour and 0.76 ton/year of nitrogen oxides, 1.69 pounds/hour and 0.085 ton/year of carbon monoxide, 1.58 pounds/hour and 0.079 ton/year of volatile organic compounds, 0.48 pound/hour and 0.024 ton/year of particulate matter, and 0.022 pound/hour and 0.0011 ton/year of sulfur oxides. Ardent Mills, LLC, has proposed to install two wheat roller mills and a feed silo in order to increase the production capacity of their flour and livestock feed facility at 1B Riverside Lane, Chattanooga, TN. Air pollutant emissions of particulate matter resulting from the operation of this equipment will be controlled by filters. The resulting increase in potential emissions of particulate matter from the facility is estimated to be 5.34 tons/year. Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Board will receive public comments upon the renewal application for the operation of the following air pollutant source in Hamilton County, TN.

Volkswagen Group of America Chattanooga Operations, LLC, has applied for the renewal of their Part 70 (Title V) operating permit and incorporation of a Prevention of Significant Deterioration permit and a minor modification into the Part 70 permit for their automobile assembly plant at 8001 Volkswagen Dr., Chattanooga, TN. No increase in allowable air pollutant emissions from any existing equipment will result from this permit renewal. Potential air pollutant emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from existing equipment will increase by 196.43 tons/year due to increased production. Potential air pollutant emissions resulting from the operation of two new natural-gas fueled curing ovens, new natural-gas fueled air handling units, and new welding operations are estimated to be 3.37 tons/year of carbon monoxide, 3.34 tons/year of particulate matter, 3.17 tons/year of nitrogen oxides, 0.22 ton/year of VOCs, and 0.023 ton/year of sulfur oxides.
