CHA SEEKS TO HIRE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATOR

The Chattanooga Housing Authority is seeking a highly talented professional to fill the full-time position of Criminal nvestigator.

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conducting investigations into allegations of either civil or criminal misconduct by CHA employees and residents. The successful candidate will have experience in conducting proactive policing activities utilizing community policing principles in public housing developments; have knowledge of the operations of a Public Housing Authority; have excellent communication and analytical skills; have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with officials, employees, and the general public; and basic computer skills.

Qualifications include an associate’s degree in criminal justice or related field, 2-3 years of relevant work experience, or a combination of both is preferred. Appropriate work experience may be substituted for degree considerations. Current POST Certified officer is required. Experience in supervising or coordinating policing activities in public housing developments is desired. The successful candidate must be proficient in all aspects of criminal law.
