James Charlie Lumsden, 87, of Sale Creek, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020, at his home. He was born in Cherokee County, Al., on Nov. 15, 1932, the son of the late Jack Garvin Lumsden and Nellie Mae (Smith) Lumsden. James had been a resident of Sale Creek since 2016 after being a long-time resident of Florida. He served his country with the U.S. Navy and earned his master’s degree in electronic communications.
