Loraine Ollis Peterson Drake
Loraine Ollis Peterson Drake, 89, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024.
She was born on Nov. 24, 1934 in Erwin, Tn., to the late Walter and Vergie Ollis. Loraine was of the Christian faith. She was a waitress for 30 years working at Loveman’s Luncheonette. She was a people person with an infectious personality. Loraine enjoyed dancing, running, and gardening. But most of all, she loved her family very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lee Drake; daughter, Pamela Jean Lowry; grandson, Jeffrey Ray McKinney; sisters, Barbara Jean Hopson and Anna McNalley; and brother, Carl Lee Ollis.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Delores Ann McKinney and Lisa Lorraine Peters; son, Anthony Neal Peterson; grandchildren, Leslie Medlin; Timmy McKinney; Damion Peterson Lambert, Dakota Lowry, Chance Peterson and Zachary Lowry; and four brothers, Glen Ollis, Ferrell Ollis, Junior Ollis and Harry Ollis.
A special thanks to Kimberly Handley Roberts for her care and concern in caring for our mother. She and her son, Cameron Handley Roberts, have become family and really helped us during this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
