R.H. Benton and Aubrey Blosser
St. Andrew's-Sewanee 8th grader Aubrey Blosser and 7th grader R.H. Benton broke two middle school track and field records in the last meet of the season.
Blosser smashed the old shot-put school record by 3.5 feet with a throw of 30 feet and 9 inches.
Benton broke the 1600m record for the second time this season with a time of 5:38.70.
The Middle School team also posted six new personal bests: Ayden Allen and Cabell Thompson in the 100m; Nora Jane Elrod in 400m and 800m, Alex Glacet in the 400m and long jump; RH Benton in the 800m; and Elena Brodsky in the long jump.
“They are the future of our program and have shown grit and determination," said Head Coach Margot Burns, “I am so proud of all these athletes."
