We Owe Rhonda Thurman So Much

  • Thursday, March 28, 2024

Thank you, Rhonda Thurman, for your excellent representation and service. You have totally fulfilled your commitment to be the voice of your constituents. Balance is always the objective in making the best decisions.  Many times you stood alone as the single voice – it took guts and resolve to speak out. You dug into the issues to make certain the facts were presented. Many times the “icing” smeared on the cake of “best for our children” in fact covered programs, policies and financial manipulations the public would never have known about. You were criticized and ridiculed yet you persisted in delving deeply into every issue that came before the board. Unfortunately other board members were mostly eager to rubberstamp items without that same effort.

I certainly hope we have a candidate waiting in the wings to follow in your footsteps. A candidate who will be our advocate, resist being steamrolled and continue the excellent representation example you provided. Yes, you served us well and truly do deserve rest and relaxation. Your name will long be remembered as an advocate for the “best education possible for our children” with due consideration to how our tax dollars were being spent to achieve it.

We owe you so much………
