The Covenant Scots looked to boost their nonconference tennis resume with a win on the road at Oglethorpe. Covenant was unable to get the job done, as it fell 3-6.
Final: Covenant 3, Oglethorpe 6 Ben Onufrock and Austin Dreslinski manned the No. 1 slot for the Scots but were defeated by Daniel Cohen and Sam Wasko 5-8. In the No. 2 position, Solomon Crouch and Gill Dunn lost a tight match to Figge Pernfors and Bailey Raymond 6-8.
The Stormy Petrels earned the doubles sweep as Caleb Domkowski and Camden Lashley fell 3-8 to Jefferson Page and Zack Raymond.
In singles, Onufrock earned a hard-fought point for the Scots with a 4-6, 7-5, 10-7 win in the No. 1 slot over Cohen. Dreslinski lost in a tiebreak in the No. 2 position, 6-0, 5-7, 4-6 to B. Raymond. In the No. 3 position, Domkowski dropped his match 1-6, 1-6 to Wasko. Crouch fell in the No. 4 slot 4-6, 3-6 to Page. Dunn battled in a tiebreak to earn the win over Z. Raymond 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 in the No. 5 position. . Graham Hayes suffered a 1-6, 1-6 defeat to Noah George in the final singles match.
