CHI Memorial Medical Group Launches Virtual Urgent Care

  • Monday, April 29, 2024
Virtual Urgent Care is now available through CHI Memorial Medical Group.  Local nurse practitioners and physician assistants are available from noon-10 p.m. every day to provide health care consultations and certain prescriptions for non-emergencies.  Patients must be age 18 or older and physically be in Tennessee.

Patients can schedule an appointment and register for their visit online through the Phreesia website. A link to CHI Memorial Virtual Urgent Care is posted online at memorial.org/virtualurgentcare.  A secure Zoom link will be provided after registration is complete.  Patients can be seen by the Virtual Urgent Care provider using either a smart phone, tablet or computer equipped with a webcam, microphone and speakers.

Common conditions treated through CHI Memorial Virtual Urgent Care include: cold, cough and flu, sinus infections, allergies, rashes and minor burns, pink eye, urinary tract infection (women only), minor sprains and strains, and nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Officials said, "Please note that not all health conditions are able to be evaluated or treated virtually.  In these instances, the provider may direct the patient to complete a visit at an appropriate in-person care facility.  Conditions that require labs, x-rays or a procedure are best managed through an in-person visit.

"Anyone with a serious injury or illness, such as chest pain and difficulty breathing, should go to the nearest emergency room for treatment."

CHI Memorial Virtual Care consultations will be billed as an office visit.
