Benefield, Pauline Culpepper

Pauline Culpepper Benefield, 88, of Chattanooga died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, in a local health care center.

A longtime resident of Hamilton County, she was retired from Nations Hosiery Mill. Mrs. Benefield was a member of Spring Creek Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Benefield.

Survivors are daughters, Gladys Satterfield, East Ridge, and Shirley Curtis, Chattanooga; sons, Bobby Joe Benefield, Signal Mountain, and Charles E. Benefield, Cleveland; sisters, Lucille Bradley, Elizabethton, Tenn., and Barbara Denton, East Ridge; brothers, Dan Culpepper, Trion, Ga., and Jim Culpepper, Rainsville, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Benny Mills and the Rev. Calvin Wigley officiating.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.
