Annie Mae Hood, 82, of Hixson, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at a local hospital.
She was a member of Mile Straight Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde Hood; son, James Jerry Hood; parents, Charles and Lucy Austin; and brother, Wayne Jackson Austin.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Ivy Hood, James L. Hood and Gregory Hood, all of Marietta, Ga.; daughters, Carole Elaine Grant and JoAnn Shortt; brother, James Hood; sisters, Lorene Lane, Nellie Jo Keith, Sahara Jackson, Mozell Richie and Barbara Ann Robinson; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Al Goss officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
