Ray Davis Named Manager Of Vegetation Management At EPB

EPB has appointed Ray Davis as the company's manager of vegetation management.

He will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company's tree trimming program. He joins EPB's management team with more than 25 years of forestry and managerial experience.

"We are very fortunate to have someone of Ray's caliber and qualifications join our organization," said David Wade, EPB's Vice President of Engineering & Construction. "Ray brings vast experience and unique perspectives to EPB and I am extremely pleased to welcome him to the team. His talents, expertise, and skills will be valuable assets to help enhance EPB's Tree Trimming program."

Mr. Davis joins EPB from Temple-Inland Forest Products Corporation, a major manufacturer of corrugated packaging and forest products headquartered in Austin, Tex. During his tenure, he served as a district forester and regeneration manager. His responsibilities entailed managing forest operations on 250,000 acres of land spanning from East Texas to Southwestern Louisiana.

In addition to working at Temple-Inland Forest Products Corporation, he has also held managerial positions at Conn Energy and with the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Department of Homeland Security.

Originally from Oberlin, La., Mr. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from McNeese State University, located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He has held a Certified Pesticide Handlers license from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for nearly four years.
