Police said a store at 4026 Shallowford Road was robbed at gunpoint.
Clerks said there were two men - one with a 9-mm pistol and the other with a 12-gauge pump shotgun. They demanded money, saying, "Give me all your money. This is OG style."
Two female clerks said they opened the cash registers and handed over about $100.
The suspects were last seen running behind the store.
A woman said she saw a black male throw a bag into the woods next to 2421 Taylor St. She said she picked up the bag and found a loaded handgun inside.
The woman said she took the gun in her residence because she did not want a child to find it, and she called police.
The bag contained a Lorcin 9-mm semi-automatic pistol, a magazine containing 10 9-mm rounds, a cani-style face mask, black gloves, a baby sock containing 10 9-mm rounds and a pair of baby sweat pants.
The woman said the man who tossed the bag was driving an older model blue car. She said after she got the bag, the man came back and said he wanted his bag back.
Kristyn Haws said while she shopped at Wal-Mart on Gunbarrel Road someone got into her car and took a Sony portable CD player worth $100.
Linda Gilliland of Ridge Lake Road said two people drove by in a beige truck and threw pumpkins at her mailbox and light pole with a gas connection.
The mailbox is valued at $40 and the light pole at $400.
Ms. Gilliland said she had another recent vandalism incident.
Police said the front glass door was broken at the law firm of Massey and Speek on MLK Boulevard at Central.
Attorney Massey came to the scene and said nothing was missing.
Cost to repair the door was put at over $500.
Charles Cagle said someone broke out the front glass at his business at 27 W. Main St.
Police said a black male was observed in front of the business, and he had pieces of glass on his shoes.
The man, Cordello D. Mills, admitted knocking out the window, saying he was mad at one of the employees.
He was charged with burglary.
Cost to fix the window was put at $400.
