Crime Stoppers: Greenway Rapist

This week’s Crime Stoppers feature is a rape that occurred at the Greenway recreation trails in Hixson.

On April 26 between 1 and 2 p.m. the victim stated she was at the south side of the dam enjoying the outdoors when she was approached by the suspect, she and the suspect engaged in conversation and he told her of a beautiful area of the Greenway, which she had never seen.

The victim followed the suspect in his vehicle to the north side of the dam and parked on Lake Resort Terrace. They then took a short walk on the paved trails; the suspect became aggressive and raped the victim.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 years of age; he is over 6’0” in height, strong build and has tanned skin. The suspect has very short cut hair and a tattoo on his left upper arm.

The suspect vehicle is a light colored pick up truck, with unknown Tennessee license plates and possibly has a bass boat in tow.

According to the victim the suspect was appeared very familiar with the Greenway area.
