Lamb, Pauline Hood (LaFayette)

Pauline Hood Lamb, 92, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, in a local nursing facility.

She was a well-known photographer, and owner of Lamb’s Studio until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of LaFayette Presbyterian Church and a member of Chickamauga Chapter UDC #1091.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alton Lamb, and Frank Oliver; an infant daughter; and her brothers, Gordon and Guiley Hood.

She is survived by her son, Dale and Teri Lamb, Owasso, Ok.; grandson, Dale Jr. and Erin Lamb, Thornton, Co.; brother, Bob Hood, LaFayette; two nephews, Joe Hood, Trion, and Jimmy Hood, LaFayette.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Wallis Memorial Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Art Pflug. Interment will be in LaFayette Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Dale Lamb Jr., Joe Hood, Jimmy Hood, Ronnie McClure, John Crawford and Bill Whitten. Honorary pallbearers are members of LaFayette Presbyterian Church, and members of Chickamauga Chapter UDC #1091.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to LaFayette Presbyterian Church or your favorite charity.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-9 p.m.

Benny "Fred" Teeters

Mark Phillips Was Victim In Fatal Hixson Pike Wreck

Mark Phillips, 54, was the victim in a fatal Hixson Pike wreck on Saturday afternoon. Police said the driver of the Ford F150 that went out of control and struck the Phillips vehicle was 68-year-old Warren Elliott.
