TBI Places Escobar On Top Ten Most Wanted For Rape

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation added a man wanted for rape in Hamilton County, to the state’s Top Ten Most Wanted list in an effort to locate him and take him into custody.

Mario Escobar, 32, originally from Guatemala, is wanted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for three counts of rape.

Escobar raped a female juvenile in 2009, on three separate occasions and threatened to kill her if she told anybody. The victim came forward and law enforcement obtained warrants for Escobar’s arrest in July, 2009. He has not been located.

Escobar has a criminal history that dates back to 2000 that includes criminal impersonation and several DUIs. He has been arrested in both Tennessee and Georgia.

Escobar is described as a 5’4” white man, weighing approximately 165 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mario Escobar is urged to call the TBI at 800 TBI-FIND. There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
