A Sale Creek man was injured when his travel trailer caught fire early Christmas morning.
At approximately 4:15 a.m., the Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department received a call of a possible residential fire at 12724 Calypso Lane.
Upon arrival firefighters found a 28-foot x 8-foot travel trailer totally on fire.
The trailer was occupied by one man.
It was temporarily being used during the holidays.
The man received smoke and heat inhalation and was transported by Hamilton County EMS to Erlanger Hospital.
The extent of the injuries is not available at this time.
According to reports, the popping and cracking of the fire woke the occupant up and he was able to escape.
Upon initial investigation, the cause of the fire is believed to be from an electric space heater too close to the bed.
Firefighters were on the scene for about 2 1/2 hours. The estimated damage is approximately $7,500.
