Freedoms Foundation At Valley Forge National Awards Ceremony Is Sunday

The Chattanooga Chapter of Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge National Awards Ceremony
 will be held Sunday at Collegedale City Hall.

There will be a meet and greet with refreshments served at 1 p.m. and the program begins at 2 p.m. 

National Distinguished Citizen and Life Achievement Awards will be presented to former Chattanooga Mayor Gene Roberts and to Dr. Robert Bowers, director of Volunteers in Medicine in honor of their good citizenship, patriotism and their service to all the citizens of the community.

Six students from local schools and one from Maryville, Tn. will receive national awards for writing outstanding 500-1,000 word essays.

Friends, family, elected officials, candidates and everyone is welcome to attend.  Reservations are appreciated but not necessary, by calling Bettye Parker at 894-5322 or Patsy Henry at 894-6269.
