TBI Arrests Cocke County 911 Director

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday arrested the Cocke County 911 Director after the TBI presented a misconduct case against her Monday to the Cocke County grand jury which returned an indictment.

Kathy Cody, 48, of Newport, Tn. was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Newport and charged with one count of official misconduct. The 4th Judicial District Attorney General’s office requested TBI investigate in August. The investigation revealed that Cody misused the TIES system by accessing the Tennessee Drivers’ License database for personal use in September of 2011.

Ms. Cody was booked into the Cocke County Jail Tuesday on $5,000 bond.
