James Malcolm “Jim” Sharpe, 90, of Red Bank, died on Monday, October 29, 2012. 

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, Nov. 1, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Reverend Jeff Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Cleo Burgan, 98, died at home on Saturday, October 18, 2014, from a fall at her home.  She was surrounded by her loved ones as she crossed over into heaven. Her husband Creedie, who worked at Southern Railroad, preceded her in death. Her sister Edna Caldwell, 95, died two weeks earlier on Oct. 4. A woman testified Monday in Hamilton County Criminal Court that it was Mike Chattin - and not his roommate Marlon Duane Kiser - who killed County Deputy Donald Bond at a produce stand in East Brainerd in 2001.
