Misty Browning and Jennifer Friddell have been identified as the two young women killed in a Tuesday morning accident on Highway 58.
A traffic crash involving a 1997 Ford Ranger and a Rural Metro Ambulance was reported around 8:05 a.m. in the 12000 block of Highway 58. When deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene they found that the Ford Ranger truck and ambulance collided head-on. The ambulance was transporting a special needs child to a doctor’s appointment (non emergency), southbound on Highway 58. The 1997 Ford Ranger was traveling northbound in the southbound lane for unknown reasons.
The driver of the 1997 Ford Ranger truck, identified as Misty Browning, 29, and the passenger, Jennifer Friddell, 30, both of Georgetown, were pronounced dead at the scene. The five occupants of the Rural Metro Ambulance were transported to area hospitals and treated for minor injuries and released.
The investigation into the traffic crash is ongoing and being handled by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
