Section Of Igou Gap Road Closed Wednesday For Resurfacing

Igou Gap Road between Gunbarrel Road and Skyline Drive will be closed to all traffic on Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. for completion of resurfacing work.  

Detours will be posted using Jarnigan Road. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.

Several Central City Schools Overcrowded, School Board Is Told

All the county school overcrowding is not out in the fast-growing East Brainerd and Ooltewah sections, school board members were told Thursday. Several central city schools are far above capacity.
