Man, 21, Shot While Walking On Holly Street

A young man walking down Holly Street was shot Tuesday afternoon.

At 2:31 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting near 1111 S Holly. The 21-year-old victim reported to investigators that he was walking down the street when three black males approached him. After a verbal altercation, one of the suspects physically assaulted him and shots were fired.

The suspects fled the scene and the victim was transported to a local hospital via a personally-owned vehicle where he was treated for the non-life-threatening injury.

The investigation is ongoing.
