James T. “Jim” Lee, 92, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, December 23, 2012.

Mr. Lee was born and raised in Chattanooga. He was a member of St. Elmo Church of Christ where he served as a deacon and was the former owner and operator of Lee Pharmacy.  He also served as a board member at Boyd-Buchanan School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. R.N. and Cordie Lee; and sister, Kathryn Wood.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Lois Lee; nephews, Jim (Mary Helen) Wood, Jimmy (Carole) Smith, Arthur (Stephanie) Hanket; nieces, Mary Hood and Susan (Sam) Brant; several great-nieces and nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26, at the funeral home. 

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. on Wednesday Dec. 26, at the funeral home with Ministers John Cupp and John T. Smithson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.

Man Charged In Shooting On Sixth Avenue Had Been Shot Himself Last Week

A man charged with attempted first-degree murder on Sixth Avenue on Thursday afternoon was shot himself earlier this month. Fire On Crutchfield Street Ruled Arson

Chattanooga fire investigators have determined that last Thursday’s fire at 1207 Crutchfield St.  that nearly killed four people was deliberately set. Lt.
