2 Killed In Wreck On East Brainerd Road Wednesday Night Were From Florida

Two people were killed in a wreck in East Brainerd on Wednesday night.

The single vehicle crash reported at 9:45 p.m. in the 10000 block of East Brainerd Road involved a 2002 Toyota Camry. The traffic investigators found the vehicle was traveling westbound on East Brainerd Road when for unknown reasons, left the roadway on the right side.  The driver over corrected and the vehicle crossed the center lane, then left the roadway, striking a rock before hitting a large tree.

The two occupants of the vehicle identified as Danny Greiner, 42, of Florida, and Christopher Johnson, 43, of Florida, were both found to be deceased at the crash scene. Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Tri Community Fire Department and Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services.

The investigation is on-going and being handled by the HCSO Traffic Division.


State Medical Board Puts Down Fines Against DesJarlais For Sex With Patients

The Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners has assessed fines against Congressman Scott DesJarlais for being a medical doctor and having sexual relations with two patients. A 7-page consent order said the incidents occurred in 2000. He was fine $250 each for the two patients. Also, he must pay up to $1,000 for costs of the investigation. Funeral Service Will Be Saturday For Murder Victim Tammy Hale

Funeral services will be Saturday for 35-year-old Tammy Hale, whose battered body was found last Sunday at the home she shared on Lovell Road with Terry Releford. Releford later was tracked by authorities to a motel in Calhoun, Ga. He killed himself before officers could reach him. Ms. Hale was the manager of Liberty Tax Service in Hixson.
