UTC Student Jordan Julian, 23, Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Hixson

A wreck in Hixson on Friday morning claimed the life of 23-year-old Jordan Julian of Hixson.

At 7:27 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a single-vehicle crash at 1400 Lower Mill Road . An automobile went off the road and struck a tree.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene.

The cause of the crash has yet to be determined as the investigation is ongoing.

Ms. Julian was a graduate of Bright School and Girls Preparatory School 2007, where she was a member of Terpsichord dance ensemble and the GPS-McCallie coordinate programs/Theater Arts program, Candlelight Chorus, Crew, and Bowling League. She attended UTC where she was a graphics design major and a member of Alpha Delta Pi Soriority. She was presently employed by Red Lobster of Hixson.

Survivors include her parents, Ken and Tricia Julian of Hixson; two younger brothers, Joe and Jack Julian of Hixson; grandparents, Joseph and Pat Smith of Harrison; great-grandparents, Jim, Sr., and Johnnie Julian of Jacksonville, Fla.; aunts and uncles, Dr. Robin and Vicki Smith of Ooltewah, Johnny and Beth (Tuta) Phillips of Signal Mountain; David and Iris Julian of Virginia Beach, Va.; Alan and Gina Julian of Roanoke; cousins, Brooke (Andy) Moore of Lookout Mountain, and daughter, Isabella.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday at the Chattanooga Funeral Home – North Chapel.

The family has requested that the funeral service and interment be private. Dr. Doug Fairbanks of 1st Centenary UMC will be officiating and Youth Director Troy Hamilton speaking.

Arrangements are by the Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, North Chapel.

Police Blotter: Woman Thief Takes Tools At Williams Street Motel

Baylor's Popp Wins First Spring Fling State Title
