Forgiveness And Consequences Are 2 Separate Matters

Wednesday, December 05, 2012

So Mr. DesJarlais says God has forgiven him and we should too and let him go on?  Sir, God and man can forgive you, but that does not relieve you of the consequences for your actions.  People who murder are forgiven in jail, are we going to let them out?

The most infuriating thing about this situation is the very values of the anti-abortion stance he takes is based on "not using abortion as a form of birth control." But that is exactly what he did with not one, two but three women.  Two from his own wife.

He is an embarrassment to our state and his constituents. But knowing his character which he has revealed, he will not do the right or honorable thing. That is the problem with legislating one's personal decisions like abortion and family planning, it's all fun and games until it hits your home, then the exceptions are made. He has got to go.
