Freshman Edwards Pitches 5-Hitter As Soddy-Daisy Wins 3rd Straight

Lady Trojans Beat Cleveland, 10-1

CLEVELAND, Tenn. -- Freshman Emily Edwards fired a five-hitter Thursday and Soddy-Daisy beat Cleveland, 10-1, here in a 6-AAA high school softball game.

The Lady Trojans improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in district.

Edwards struck out five and walked one.

Savannah Moore had a double and single for Soddy-Daisy and Olivia Williams added two singes, scored twice and stole two bases.

Lauren Smith had a double and two RBIs for the Lady Trojans while Cassidy Hackney singled, walked, scored twice and stole two bases.
