Hubert Edward Teems, 79, of Summerville, died on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Teems was born in Summerville, Ga., on May 18, 1933, son of the late George Washington Teems and Queenie Nicholson Teems. Mr. Teems was a member of the Experimental Air Craft Association and prior to retirement, he was a radio operator and recruiter with the United States Air Force and was an instructor with the Control Data Institute.
Mr. Teems is survived by his wife, Hazel Teems; son, Brian Edward Teems; daughters, Sharon Denise Teems and Melinda Little; brother and sister-in-law, Jerel and Elaine Teems; sisters and brother-in-law, Kathryn Shields and Janet and George Pinion; grandchildren, Seth Teems, Sitara Teems, Anna Little and Nathan Little; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Teems will be held on Tuesday, May 1, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. George Pinion officiating. Private Interment will follow at a late date.
Mr. Teems will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1, from 6-7 p.m.
