Mindy B’s Deli Issues Sandwich Challenge

Wednesday, May 02, 2012
Mindy B’s Deli, a new Downtown deli, challenges you to a Sandwich Throwdown.  The Sandwich Throwdown is a Facebook centered contest in which the winner’s creation will be placed on Mindy B’s Deli’s menu in their name for a full year.

"I thought it would be a fun way to get people engaged in what we are doing," said Chef Mindy of Mindy B's Deli.  " Who wouldn’t want a sandwich named after then on a local menu?  I am excited to see how creative people can get.”

The contest will run in stages.  Stage one involves creating a sandwich based on an ingredient list provided on Facebook with one “wild card” allowed per creation.  “Once you post your creation to our page you then need to gather votes to push you through to stage two of the contest," says Chef Mindy.

The second stage of the contest will find the three sandwiches with the most votes on Mindy B’s Deli menu for three weeks.  “Even if you don’t ultimately win the contest your sandwich could be featured on the menu for a few weeks,” says Chef Mindy.

The one customer creation that sells the most of those final three will then be placed on the Mindy B’s Deli menu for an entire year named for its creator.

The contest launched on Facebook Tuesday and will accept sandwich creations and votes until May 22.  The ultimate winner will be announced June 14 after the top three voted sandwiches share a stint on the menu.  For complete rules, to enter or vote visit facebook.com/MindyBsDeli
