Robin Cavin
Robin Cavin, 56, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Erlanger Hospital.
Robin was a lifelong resident of the East Ridge and North Georgia area, was a 1974 graduate of East Ridge High School, and was a member of First Lutheran Church in Chattanooga. She was employed with Hamilton County Board of Education for over 30 years as a bookkeeper, and she was also the financial director with the local chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
She was a loving mother to her daughter Heather, and a kind friend to many people. Her passions in life were her dog Lola, her “grand dog”, Harley, gardening, cooking, and enjoying the beauty of the mountains.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Nannie Cavin.
Survivors include her daughter, Heather Massengale and her fiancé, Jay Brennan of Ooltewah; sister, Patrice Landers of Flintstone; her adopted family, Steve and Maureen Foster, Stephanie Henze, Carole Shelnutt, and Nadia Terry; and a host of loving friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 22, at 4 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 2800 McCallie Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37404 with Reverend Mark McCrory officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
