Clarinetist Booker T. Scruggs In Concert At Bethlehem-Wiley United Methodist Church Aug. 12

A new release concert by clarinetist Booker T. Scruggs II will be held on Sunday, Aug. 12, at Bethlehem-Wiley United Methodist Church, 504 Lookout St., at 5 p.m.

Entitled In the Spirit, the CD is a compilation of 12 traditional and contemporary gospel favorites. Mr. Scruggs will be accompanied by local musicians, including Danny Sample, the production engineer of the project. Mount Maria Parish Choir, under the direction of Nancy Westmoreland, will be a special guest.

The concert is free, and proceeds from the sales of In the Spirit benefit the Beth-Wiley Youth Group of the church.
