Perez-Nuno Jailed After Fatal Motorcyle Wreck

Smuel Perez-Nuno has been jailed after a fatal wreck last Tuesday involving a motorcycle.

A 67-year-old Hixson man, Freddie Blanks, died Thursday from injuries in the earlier crash on Broad Street.

Mr. Blanks was driving a Honda motorcycle, and Perez-Nuno was driving a Dodge Caravan.

The Dodge Caravan was southbound on Broad Street, and the motorcycle was northbound on Broad . The driver of the Dodge Caravan turned left (east) onto 25th Street and struck the victim.

Perez-Nuno was charged with not having a valid driver’s license, not having insurance, and failure to yield the right-of-way.
