CARTA Announces Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Schedule

In observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, CARTA’s fixed route and Downtown Shuttle buses will operate on Saturday schedules on Monday. The CARTA Care-a-van will also be operating on a holiday schedule.

All CARTA bus services will resume regular weekday schedules on Tuesday.

Special Event Street/Lane Closures For April 30-May 3

Thursday:  The Chattanooga Corporate Challenge will take place from 5-9 p.m.  River St. from Renaissance Park to Coolidge Park will be closed; Tremont St. will be closed surrounding the Blue Rhino and the right (eastbound) lane on Frazier Ave. from Market St. to the Walnut Street Bridge will be closed.  Please watch for walkers and posted signs for closures.  ... Freedoms Foundation Holds Spring Luncheon

DA Tells Dalton Jury Cell Phone Of Skyy Mims Was Found At Murder Scene

District Attorney Bert Poston told a jury in Dalton on Monday that the cell phone of Skyy Mims was found at the scene of the murder of convenience store clerk DK Chaudhari.
