Johnson, Hickey And Murchison, PC, Names Kevin Roberts As Tax Manager

Kevin Roberts, CPA, has been named as a tax manager by Chattanooga accounting firm Johnson, Hickey & Murchison, PC.

Mr. Roberts comes to JHM with more than 18 years’ experience with income tax compliance and planning for corporations, partnerships and individuals in a variety of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing and distribution, real estate, construction and nonprofits.

“As JHM’s visibility in the Chattanooga business community continues to grow, Kevin is a natural addition to the firm’s Tax team.

Kevin has helped many clients work through complicated mergers and acquisitions, and he has an impressive track record in helping companies become more profitable, especially around tax time,” said Kevin Ryan, tax partner at the firm.

Mr. Roberts, a resident of Chickamauga, received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Valdosta State University. He has a wide range of experience in business tax accounting, having worked with businesses both through their start and their sale.

He and his wife, Cindy, have two children and attend First Baptist Church of Lafayette. He serves as an officer of the Chickamauga Recreation Association.

Child, 23 Months, Found Dead In Crib With Fentanyl Patch On Back; Death Ruled Homicide

A 23-month-old Chattanooga boy has been found dead in his crib with a Fentanyl patch on his back. The death of Demarcus Bryant at 7655 Borris Dr. last month was ruled a homicide.
