February Events At Creekside At Shallowford Includes Sweetheart Dance

Creekside at Shallowford, an independent senior living community in Chattanooga, has several free events during February and the public is invited to participate. 

The events include:

Friday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m.: Let's Talk Seniors - Diabetes Education - An educational series. Light refreshments will be provided.

Saturday, Feb. 9, at 4 p.m.: Sweetheart Dance - After the dance is a candlelit supper

Sunday, Feb. 10, at 12:30 p.m.: Adventure Travel Club: Italy - with an authentic Italian meal

Winter Weather Hinders Blood Collection

Winter weather across the region is hindering blood donors from volunteering to give blood donations at Blood Assurance. Today, the donor center located inside the Baroness Erlanger campus will be closed.  Johnson City and Abingdon locations open at 9 a.m.  Bristol and Kingsport donor centers open at 10 a.m. All other Blood Assurance donor centers will open at noon.
