Willie Joe Kilgore, 79, of Cohutta, GA, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claudia and William Kilgore; brother, James Kilgore; and sisters, Bessie Wallace and Lois Isbell.

He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Rome, GA.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Kilgore of the residence; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Tommy Helms of Rome and Karen and Rickey Croy of Woodstock; two sons and daughter-in-law, Danny Kilgore and Scottie and Sonya Kilgore, all of Cohutta; sisters, Ruth Smith of Ringgold, Marie Williams of Knoxville, Sue Harvey of South Pittsburg, TN and Ruby Pursley and Nannie Grant, both of Dunlap, TN; grandchildren, Jason Croy, Misty Bible, Donnie and Kaylah Helms, Amanda and Breanna, Trevor and Marley Kilgore; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Aslyn, Aiden and Abrynn Bible, Garrett and Miranda Croy and Tristan and Christopher Evans; and nieces and nephews.

The service will be held Tuesday, October 22, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the United Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel on Monday, October 21, from 5-9 p.m.
