Jeremy Filsell is acknowledged as one of only a few virtuoso performers on both piano and organ. He has appeared as a solo pianist in Russia, Scandinavia, the U.S., and throughout the U.K., and he will perform at 7:30 p.m. (Central) Friday, Nov. 22, in Sewanee’s All Saints’ Chapel as part of the University of the South's Performing Arts Series.

Dr. Filsell was an organ scholar at Keble College Oxford and as a graduate, he studied piano at the Royal College of Music, later completing a Ph.D. at Birmingham Conservatoire. He has taught at the Royal Academy of Music in London and at universities, summer schools, and conventions in both the U.K. and U.S., and has performed around the world. He now combines international performing and teaching activities with being artist-in-residence at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC.
