Richard Waters
Richard Lee Waters, Sr. of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at his home.
He was a member of Brainerd United Methodist Church. Mr. Waters was a graduate of Emory University and past president of the Chattanooga Manufacturers Association. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Irene Forrester and a great-granddaughter, Jessica Burkhalter.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Bischhoff Waters; daughter, Janet Hudson; son, Richard (Vickki) Waters; three grandchildren, Christian (Melissa) Sexton, Robert Hudson and Emily (Jack) Findley; nephew, Douglas (Cheryl) Forrester.
The family will have a private service at the graveside.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to Brainerd United Methodist Church or to Hospice of Chattanooga.
