Pair Arrested In Burglary On Wheeler Avenue

Two men are charged in a break-in at a house on Wheeler Avenue on Dec. 4.

Ashby Halmon called police to report the burglary.

On Tuesday, Detective Michael Early went to Rick Davis Gold and Diamonds on Brainerd Road about possible stolen jewelry.

Frederick Alexander Williams, 21, of 5303 Slayton Ave., and Cordarius Dewan Miller, 18, of 1159 Fairmont Ave. gave permission for a search of their 2001 white Chevy Malibu. Police said it contained an HP laptop computer that belonged to Mr. Halmon.

Also recovered were a karate gym bag and a necklace.

They were charged with aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000.

Williams has a lengthy criminal record including charges of robbery and possession of cocaine for resale.
