Martin “Marty” Bryan Erwin, 56, of Dalton, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 as a result of an automobile accident.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Ragan; grandparents, Aud & Verna Erwin; and grandfather, Blackie Ragan.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mandy & Ben Waggoner of Conway, AK; sons and a daughter-in-law, Chris & Jessica Ball of Calhoun and Bryan Burns of Rome; father & step-mother, Jerry & Joyce Erwin of Inman, SC; grandmother, Irene Ragan of Dalton; sisters & brothers-in-law, Karen Crump of Dalton, Krista & Ray Yam of Irmo, SC and Kerry & Lee Thompson of Boiling Springs, SC; two brothers, Bruce Erwin of Atlanta and Trent Shook of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren, Aaron Waggoner, Chloe, Katey and Julie Ball, Noah & Noel Burns; special friends, Rod McClain and Anne Smith Walker, both of Dalton; special aunt, Shelva Shaddix of Dalton; and other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Erwin will be held Friday, December 6, at 1 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with guest speakers, Rod McClain and Ben Waggoner.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, December 6 from 11 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m.
