The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s basketball schedule is a good one with three games against SEC schools, including a road contest at Tennessee and a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving by being in Hawaii.

Next year is better.

If UTC coach Jim Foster can dot the i’s and cross the necessary t’s (i.e. tournament sponsorships), the Lady Mocs will have a Tip-Off Classic (Villanova is one possible team) to open the season and a second tourney around Christmas.

Nationally-Ranked: The November-December home schedule continues to get better as Stanford comes to McKenzie Arena (Dec.17) as does Tennessee and possibly Notre Dame, all with home-and-home agreements.

“We want to play the best in women’s college basketball and to have these national powers coming to Chattanooga is great for our fans and our players,” said Foster who would also like to bring in UConn and coach Gino Auriemma and Baylor Univ.

in the future.

Asked if he plans to schedule games wit a couple off his old teams such as Ohio State and Vanderbilt, Foster said "no, I don't play schools where I have previously coached. There are plenty of other good teams we can play."
