Gilbert, Margaret Monger

Margaret Monger Gilbert, 80 of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at The Hospice Care Center.

She was a resident of NHC nursing home facility for the past 10 years, and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Gilbert; parents Pete and Sallie Monger; brothers, Dick, Glenn, Charlie, Joe and Claude Monger.

Survivors include her sons, James (Missy) Gilbert of Ooltewah; John Gilbert, of Dallas, TX; daughter, Leslie (Jeff) Fore of Harrison; brother, Raymond (Joyce) Monger, of Ooltewah; four grandchildren, Jordan (Phillip) Arthur, Sarah Gilbert, Chloe and Preston Fore.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN  37416.

Helen Ackerman Harris, 91, of Fort Oglethorpe, died on September 20, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Harris and son, Johnny Harris. 3 People Shot On Wilson Street; One Victim Has "Life-Threatening" Wounds
