A planned new development on East Main Street will include 102 apartments in an existing building and a new one.
The proposal by Hefferlin and Kronenberg architects is at a vacant warehouse site on four acres at 625 E. Main.
Fifty-one units will be in an existing building that will be renovated on the west side of Madison Street.
The remaining 51 units of the Madison Street Apartments will be in a new three-story apartment building on the east side of Madison Street.
Parking for 157 cars will be provided onsite and on Madison Street.
In addition, an existing 1,800-square-foot building and adjacent 14-space parking lot at the corner of Madison and Main will be retained for retail uses.
A request for rezoning from M-1 to C-3 goes before the Planning Commission next Monday at 1 p.m. at the County Courthouse.
The RPA staff is recommending approval.
