East Ridge Police responded to a report of an armed robbery in progress on Tuesday at 11:05 a.m. at the Famous Market convenience store at 1301 Greenslake Road.

Two suspects were described as young black males, medium build, and about 5’9”. One suspect was dressed in dark pants and a grey hoodie, and the other was wearing a red hoodie. They entered the store armed with handguns and demanded money.

They were last seen traveling west on Bennett Road from the scene.

Cash and cartons of Newport cigarettes were stolen during the incident.
