Russell, Smith Get New Terms As County Magistrates

The County Commission on Thursday unanimously voted to continue Randy Russell and Sharetta Smith as county magistrates.

The commission also voted to keep Mr. Russell as the chief magistrate.

The new contracts are for one year each.

There were 17 applicants and eight of the contenders were interviewed by commission members.

The magistrates set bonds and sign warrants from an office at the county jail.
