The Cleveland Speedway is readying for the 18th annual Southern All-Star "ShamRock" event and on Saturday night Crossville, racer Randy Weaver has the opportunity to not only win the $10,000 to-win "A" Main event, but to also rewrite history.

In 17 events only one racer in history has been able to win a Gobbler and a ShamRock back to back.

On March 9, Blairesville, Georgia racer Jonathan Davenport will attempt to ruin Weaver's chance at the feat - the very feat he was able to accomplish just three short years ago.

Davenport won both the season opening ShamRock and the season closing Gobbler of 2010. Weaver whom wrapped up his 2012 S.A.S Championship with a win last November can go "back to back" by claiming Saturday nights top prize, but in doing so he'll be challenging the "Best Dirt Late Model Racers in the World". An estimated 40-something number of top Super Late Model raceteams are expected to invade the 1/3 mile clay banked dirt track for the 2013 season opener this Saturday.

Reserve seat tickets are now on-sale and going fast according to Owner/Promoter Ronnie Willkomm. Gates are slated to open early in the afternoon March 9, and racing is set to begin around 6PM EST.

For more details call the track on raceday at 423 479-8574.

Immigration Reform - And Response

We do not have to pander to those in our country who were not invited and made their way here on their own. They are here against our laws that are already on the books which are not enforced.  They do not have negotiation rights to dictate to the United States government nor does our government have the right to pick and choose which laws are to be enforced or ignored so ... Roy Exum: So How Am I Really Doing?

I’ve gotten hundreds of jokes since Tuesday when I wrote about feeling a little puny lately and expressing my belief that laughter is the best medicine. After breaking some bones in my arm as I slept last week and having no idea there were already some other fractures, it looked pretty certain I had a case of “The Big C.” I’ve always felt that stands for “courage” but the medical ...
